Lindsay Lohan has been rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York following a lung infection. She had been suffering from a symptoms of “walking pneumonia” before she was admitted.
Lindsay’s father has stated that the lung infection has been troubling Lindsay for weeks and it has even delayed her trip from New York to California.
“She’s fine but she’s had a bad case of asthma as a kid so she has to take this things seriously. When she was a kid, we had almost lost her a couple of times because of the Asthma”, Michael Lohan, Lohan’s father, said commenting on her condition.
The 26-year-old star was released from the hospital shortly after getting some antibiotics. She is now said to be recovering back at her hotel room.
The medical problem comes days after Lindsay allegedly bumped with a Porsche in a driveway between the Maritime and Dream Hotels in Chelsea and a Manhattan cook claimed that she was smelling of alcohol at the time of accident.
Lindsay was booked for the offence of leaving the scene of an accident and released with a desk appearance ticket. Lohan remains on probation in her necklace theft case, so any criminal charges in New York could trigger more jail time for the star of forthcoming film, “Liz & Dick”
